Great point! The tyranny of "perfection" can be paralyzing. We're human beings working with other human beings. The imperfections can work to create a more interpersonal relationship among virtual learners.

23:33
Exporting as a video, where do you need to post this for students? Don't think you can post a video to Moodle depending on how large the video file is.

23:40
The size issue is worse if you have a lot of photos in your slideshow - so if you narrate a lot, just use less photos

25:46
compress the photos and re-save the ppt before adding narration

Another option for PowerPoint is to save as a .pptx. It's a format that just allows the student to "play" the presentation and keeps the size smaller (compresses automatically). This is how I post my presentations

32:03
Do you use this resource for the whole class? Or just for certain chapters and topics?

33:37
Ok. Thanks for sharing! I like the article idea too, we use a lot of articles in nursing

37:21
Nearpod is used widely in P-12 classrooms right now when instruction is online. It is very easy to use.

47:22
We used KAHOOT to great effect for our joint Library/IT virtual Christmas party trivia!

49:10
Does Kahoot save scores for an asynchronous course?

49:30
a leaderboard or something?

50:09
Socrates is also a good question/quiz app -

51:34
you can place this on moodle and have students take it off line?

52:01
Are students usually connecting through their phones or laptops?

53:31
sorry socrative https://www.socrative.com/

55:39
when you say padlet- is that per lay out or person in the group?

55:59
When you said three free padlets for free

56:04
Connie, a padlet is the whole group.

56:24
ok thanks

56:30
would you download Padlet then upload to Moodle? How do you do that?

57:09
Does padlet use a "code" similar to kahoot?

57:15
Would this work well to review a short film?

58:20
Kristen, no. You would create the padlet and then send the link to the studnets.

59:58
I had students do intro videos and post in padlet in my MBA course.

01:09:27
Ann, can you type the link to the video resources (web address) in the chat room so we can copy / paste for future use.
